As a QA Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and QA team members to lead testing efforts for various projects and ensure that our solutions meet the highest quality standards.

Job Summary:

As the QA Lead, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day QA activities for one or more projects. You will be hands-on with testing, leading a team of QA engineers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software. You will also develop and execute test plans, monitor test progress, and ensure that testing processes are followed effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the QA efforts for specific projects, ensuring the execution of test plans, test cases, and testing schedules.
  • Work closely with the development and product teams to understand project requirements and translate them into actionable test strategies.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases for manual and automated testing.
  • Oversee the execution of tests and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software releases.
  • Identify, log, and track defects, working with developers to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement in testing practices.
  • Provide regular updates on testing progress, defect status, and quality metrics to project stakeholders.
  • Ensure that testing environments are properly set up and maintained.
  • Participate in sprint planning and other Agile ceremonies, advocating for quality at every stage of the development lifecycle.
  • Conduct regression testing, system testing, and performance testing to validate software stability.
  • Collaborate with automation engineers to integrate test automation into the overall testing strategy.
  • Mentor Junior team members

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in a QA Lead or senior role.
  • Hands-on experience with manual testing, including UI, functional, and regression testing.
  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage QA efforts for specific projects or product releases.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks and tools is a plus (Selenium, Cypress, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of QA best practices, testing methodologies, and tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in testing complex software systems, especially in domains like healthcare, e-commerce, or SaaS.
  • Familiarity with SQL and other query languages for data validation.
  • Experience with cloud-based applications and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and testing for accessibility compliance.
