About the job QA Manager (US)
Idelsoft is seeking an experienced QA Manager to take ownership of the quality assurance process across our cutting-edge technology solutions. In this role, you will manage the QA efforts, drive the product testing strategy, optimize QA processes and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our software products meet the highest standards of reliability, functionality, and performance. You will be instrumental in building scalable testing frameworks, conducting complex test scenarios, and ensuring that our solutions are delivered with quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:l
- Lead the planning, execution, and optimization of the QA process across multiple teams and projects.
- Managing the testing effort of all software releases
- Assess functionality and be a knowledgeable resource of several Software applications for the team
- Handle personnel issues and strives to keep the team stable and productive
- Design and develop comprehensive test strategies, plans, and scripts for both manual and automated testing.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to a team of QA engineers, driving best practices and continuous improvement in testing methodologies.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of requirements and establish quality benchmarks.
- Conduct complex manual and regression testing across various platforms, ensuring all functionalities meet business requirements.
- Define and track QA metrics to measure the effectiveness of the QA process, reporting on software quality trends and improvement opportunities.
- Implement root-cause analysis for recurring defects, driving systemic improvements in the QA process.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest QA tools, trends, and methodologies, and introduce relevant innovations into the teams workflow.
- Oversee and contribute to API and UI testing efforts using industry-standard tools (Postman, Swagger, etc.).
- Participate in technical reviews, demos, and client meetings, ensuring alignment on quality expectations and standards.
- Ensure accessibility standards are met across applications.
- Work closely with stakeholders in an Agile environment, advocating for QA improvements at all stages of development.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on manual QA and team management.
- Proven experience managing QA team or project, including managing the end-to-end QA process.
- Strong experience with UI, API (Postman, Swagger, etc.).
- Familiarity with healthcare systems or similar complex domains is highly preferred.
- Expertise in Agile development environments and ability to work within cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Solid experience with SQL and other query languages for data validation.
- Experience implementing QA best practices for process improvement.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
- Understanding of app accessibility standards and testing.
- Understanding of QA automation frameworks and experience with programming languages (Python, Java, etc.) is preferred.
