About the job Marketing Operations Full Stack Engineer (EU)
Full-Time | Remote
We're hiring a Marketing Operations Engineer to own the accuracy of our marketing and sales data.
This person will own the entire tracking layer — analytics, ad platform pixels, conversion APIs, attribution, and event tracking — making sure every number the business relies on is correct, from first touch through to revenue.
This is a hands-on individual-contributor role with deep ownership, sitting within the core engineering team. You'll be the single person with answers when anyone asks "is this number right?" — verifying tracking daily, catching anomalies before anyone else does, and wiring up new tools without pulling product engineers away from their work.
What you'll own
The marketing and sales data layer, end to end:
- The entire tracking stack — analytics, ad platform pixels and conversion APIs, attribution tooling, and event tracking
- Data flow between marketing tools, CRM, scheduling/booking tools, and billing — keeping records and revenue attribution consistent end to end
- Daily monitoring and automated alerting — when trials drop 40% in a day, you know within hours whether it's real or a tracking break, and which
- New tracking implementation whenever marketing launches campaigns, tests, or landing pages
- Documentation of the whole stack, so knowledge is shared, not tribal
You'll build proper analytics infrastructure — dashboards and reports for key KPIs, plus an alerting system that catches tracking issues proactively.
You're a fit if you:
- Have solid JavaScript skills (3–4+ years) and understand how tags, pixels, cookies, and server-side event APIs actually work under the hood.
- Write SQL comfortably to query raw event and billing data and reconcile numbers between systems.
- Know attribution deeply — client-side vs. server-side tracking, identity stitching, UTM discipline, conversion APIs, and ad platform signal quality.
- Wire tools together through APIs and webhooks, and debug integrations independently.
- Speak marketing fluently — CPT, ROAS, MQL trial paid funnels — so you understand why a number matters, not just whether the event fires.
- Have a detective mindset — you diagnose "this number looks wrong" down to root cause, fast, with strong attention to detail.
- Have 3–6 years in marketing ops, analytics engineering, or growth engineering at a B2B SaaS or similar high-volume self-serve business, and have owned a tracking stack before — not just used one.
Tools you'll work with: Google Tag Manager, Amplitude, HubSpot, Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Pixel, Google Ads — though skills matter more than tools, and you should be able to pick up any new tool quickly.
Strong plus: server-side tagging experience, data warehouse experience, and experience working with paid media teams.
