Job Openings Full-Stack Developer (EU) - AWS

About the job Full-Stack Developer (EU) - AWS

We're hiring the first dedicated engineer to join B2B Saas startup. You'll work directly with the team lead — a hands-on engineer with deep enterprise and high-scale experience — on a product that's already live, focusing on improving it and shipping new features rather than building from scratch.

This is a high-ownership role on a small, autonomous team. As the product grows, so will the team — early hires will help shape it.

What You'll Do

  • Build and ship features across the full stack: TypeScript on the backend, TypeScript/React on the frontend
  • Work with a fully serverless AWS architecture, managed entirely through infrastructure as code (no console click-ops)
  • Design for scale: reason about high volumes, retries, failure modes, and edge cases in distributed, queue-based systems
  • Use AI coding tools effectively as part of your daily workflow — we care less about typing code by hand and more about how you direct, review, and validate AI-generated work
  • Communicate proactively and move fast in a chill but high-output team

What We're Looking For

Must have:

  • Strong AWS experience (DynamoDB, Lambda, SQS/SNS, and CloudFront)
  • Backend development in TypeScript (Node.js)
  • Frontend development in TypeScript / React
  • Solid understanding of serverless architecture and event-driven systems — e.g., you can explain how you'd handle retries, poison messages, and transient errors in a queue-based pipeline
  • Mid-to-senior level of autonomy: you don't need hand-holding, but you're open to mentorship on high-scale patterns
  • Experience at a startup or a fast-moving product company (think Revolut/Spotify pace, not slow maintenance work)
  • Based within roughly ±4 hours of Central European Time, with good availability and responsive communication during overlapping hours

Nice to have:

  • Strong frontend/UI sensibility
  • Experience scaling systems for large volumes
  • Experience with high-volume messaging, cloud infrastructure, or similar systems
