Project and Role Description

Our team develops and maintains a set of internal engineering tools that support software development, release management, code quality, and build processes.
A significant part of our work involves understanding and evolving mature, long-lived systems that often have limited documentation. Success in this role requires curiosity, persistence, and the ability to investigate complex technical problems. We frequently perform reverse engineering to understand existing functionality, analyze unfamiliar code, and determine how various components interact with each other.
In addition to development work, we provide customer support by investigating incidents reported by users and implementing change requests. Many of the ongoing enhancements are related to Greenhouse migration and compatibility efforts.

This position is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving technical puzzles and investigating complex systems. The work often starts with limited information, requiring exploration, experimentation, and deep analysis before a solution can be identified. Rather than simply implementing predefined requirements, team members frequently need to discover how existing systems work, identify hidden dependencies, and determine the most effective path forward.
The ability to learn quickly, ask the right questions, and systematically investigate problems is often more important than prior experience with a specific technology.

Key Requirements

Essential Skills:

• Experience in programming in Python;
• Understanding of OOP and SOLID principles;
• Understanding of automated testing as practice and in the context of Python;
• Experience in Linux/Unix environment.Development of CI/CD pipelines;Understanding of containerized workloads.

Knowledge of:

• Source control systems – Git;
• CICD Automation – Jenkins, GitHub Actions;
• Working in a multinational environment.

Nice-to-Have:

• Familiar with Agile Software Development: Scrum, Kanban;
• Scripting languages (Shell/Bash, Python, Ruby);
• Excellent troubleshooting skills;
• Coachability;
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
