Role Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Loan Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the loan application and underwriting process by engaging with customers to obtain, verify, and follow up on all required information and supporting documentation.
The Loan Consultant is responsible for ensuring loan applications are accurately completed, processed within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and progressed efficiently while minimising delays and application drop-offs. This role requires excellent customer service skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to achieve productivity and conversion targets while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned customer leads within agreed service level agreements (SLAs) and ensure timely follow-up.
- Engage with customers to obtain, verify, and accurately capture all required application information and supporting documentation.
- Guide applicants through the loan application process, providing professional assistance and resolving queries to deliver a positive customer experience.
- Submit complete and accurate loan applications for underwriting while minimising delays and application drop-offs.
- Meet daily, weekly, and monthly productivity, conversion, and approval targets.
- Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and application progress within the CRM system.
- Adhere to company policies, quality assurance standards, and all applicable data protection and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to operational efficiency and business growth by delivering high-quality customer service and maximising successful loan approvals
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Minimum of 1–2 years' experience in a call centre, financial services, lending, or sales environment.
- Previous experience in loan origination, credit applications, underwriting support, or financial services will be advantageous.
- Experience working with CRM or loan management systems is preferred.
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work night shif.
