We are hiring a Kitchen Steward on behalf of a respected employer based in Montenegro and Croatia. The ideal candidates should be service-oriented, professional, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the kitchen is clean, well-maintained, and organized at all times.
  • Keep floors dry and clean to maintain safety and hygiene.
  • Operate pot-washing machinery and maintain a hygienic working environment according to company standards.
  • Assist cooks and servers as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Collect and remove trash from all areas, following waste disposal and recycling guidelines.
  • Clean and sanitize pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment regularly.
  • Wash, wipe, sort, and stack dishes, properly loading and unloading the dishwasher.
  • Store all cleaned items safely and in an organized manner.
  • Clean and maintain floors, walls, and dishwashing areas, ensuring hygiene compliance.
  • Monitor chemical levels and kitchen inventory, reporting any deficiencies to management.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the stewarding manager.
  • Assist in light food preparation and help in serving meals when required.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
  • Follow proper use and maintenance procedures for kitchen equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a similar role in a kitchen or hospitality environment is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of food hygiene and sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address guest and kitchen concerns efficiently.
  • Ability to adapt to changing schedules, tasks, and kitchen priorities.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long hours, bend, and lift kitchen equipment.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time, seasonal contract with the possibility of extension.
  • Flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Physically demanding role requiring long hours of standing, bending, and lifting.
  • Primary work locations include hotel kitchens, restaurants, and catering facilities.
  • One day off per week.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary: 600 - 800 EUR per month (depending on experience).
  • Accommodation provided.
  • Daily meals included.
  • Transportation provided (at least one-way).
  • Work permit assistance available.
