About the job Mechanical Assembly Technician
The Mechanical Assembly Technician is responsible for the repair of all specified assemblies and/or sub-assemblies within their group or those that are assigned by the supervisor. The Mechanical Assembly Technician must maintain a high level of production while also adhering to Hytecs' stringent Quality Guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Repair of all assigned mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies.
- Repairs all units properly and completely, observing Hytec standards of quality, so as to prevent warranty returns and call backs.
- Maintain a high level of productivity (Approx. 12 units per day or higher) without compromising Hytecs' quality standards.
- Regularly update, verify and use, in-house manuals and/or CBRA documentation during the repair process. Note: This technical documentation is a work in process and must be maintained on an ongoing basis.
- Maintain test bed machines within their assigned level, repairing any observed deficiencies. Reporting necessary preventative maintenance to the supervisor of the group. Properly identify and tag any machines in need of service.
- Complete all paperwork or electronic documentation concerning the mechanical assemblies, as well as the status of the machines.
- The technician is welcomed and encouraged to present new ideas, which could be implemented at Hytec to reduce costs, increase productivity, or improve the overall quality of our products.
- The technician may be required to work on machines outside of their assigned machine group.
- Informs Senior Tech or Supervisor of any unrepairable units/assemblies. If agreed upon, technician then places unrepairables on cart to be inspected by QC.
- Technician must maintain a neat and orderly work area.
- Employee must adhere to Hytecs' ESD awareness guidelines.
Job Requirements
- One year of hands-on electro mechanical experience, mechanical assembly or equivalent vocational training.
- Highly organized individual with an eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently or easily follow directives from supervisor.
- Mandatory OT or Piecemeal when circumstances dictate.
