Role Purpose
The Head Business operations will be a key senior leader, working closely with the leadership team to translate strategic objectives into measurable operational execution. You will oversee the full spectrum of operational functions people, process, performance, and platform. You will ensure that systems, culture, performance measures and change management are aligned with the firms growth agenda.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the leadership team to refine and execute the business strategy, translating goals into operational priorities and initiatives.
- Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the company including but not limited to: organisational structure, talent management, process design, KPI frameworks, performance monitoring, budget & cost discipline.
- Serve as a senior executor: ensure timely delivery of initiatives, track progress, remove bottlenecks, and hold functions accountable.
- Build and optimise core operational systems and platforms technology infrastructure, data & analytics, dashboards, workflows.
- Drive a high-performance culture: recruit, develop and retain key talent; ensure clarity of roles, accountability, and continuous improvement mindset.
- Lead change management: as the business scales, ensure operational readiness for growth, diversification, regional roll-outs, and cross-border coordination.
- Interface with internal and external stakeholders investors, portfolio companies, functional partners to ensure operational alignment and excellence.
- Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies, cost optimisation, and scalable processes; implement best practices adapted for Southeast Asia markets.
- Ensure compliance with internal governance, risk management standards and regional regulatory requirements.
Experience & Qualifications:
- 10-12+ years of progressive operational leadership experience, ideally within financial services, private equity/venture capital platforms, investment management or high-growth professional services.
- Proven track record of translating strategy into operational execution in a fast-moving, regional or multi-location context (ideally Southeast Asia).
- Strong business acumen with demonstrable experience managing P&L, budgets, operational KPIs, and change programmes.
- Proven ability to lead multifunctional teams (operations, HR/talent, technology, process improvement) and influence at senior levels including C-suite.
- Experience in building or scaling operational platforms, systems and processes in dynamic environments.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills with a get things done mindset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to engage both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Comfortable in a hands-on role: able to roll up sleeves, but also think strategically and lead big-picture operational design.
- Regional mindset: experience working across different cultures, markets and regulatory environments is highly desirable.
- Educational background: degree in Business, Finance, Management, or related field. An MBA or equivalent is a plus.
