Group CEO / Board of Directors (Academic Oversight)

Work Location: Primarily based in Bangkok (Pre-Medical Campus), with periodic travel to South Bangkok for cross-campus academic coordination and quality assurance.

1. Role Purpose

The Director of Academics is the senior academic leader responsible for driving academic excellence, curriculum design, teacher quality, and student learning outcomes at the Bangkok Pre-Medical campus, while also providing academic leadership and strategic support to the Multi-Career campus.

This role ensures:

  • Academic rigor
  • MOE compliance
  • High teaching standards
  • Pathway-focused learning (Medical, STEM, Law, IT, Business, etc.)
  • Curriculum enhancement and innovation across both campuses

2. Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

A. Academic Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead the school groups academic vision, standards, and long-term curriculum strategy.
  • Develop and implement the Academic Master Plan for both campuses.
  • Oversee curriculum mapping, assessment frameworks, grading systems, and academic reporting.
  • Lead future expansion into Thai-English Bilingual and Thai-Chinese curriculum pathways.
  • Strengthen academic rigor for boarding-school environments.

B. Curriculum Development & Innovation

Bangkok Pre-Medical Campus

  • Lead all Pre-Med curriculum development including:
  • Advanced Science, Math & Lab modules
  • Medical entrance preparation
  • University pathway alignment
  • Partnerships with hospitals & medical faculties

Multi-Career Campus

Support curriculum design and quality for:

  • Law
  • Business
  • AI & IT
  • Military-prep modules
  • Soft-skill & leadership development
  • Ensure standardised academic quality across both campuses.

C. Recruitment, Management & Development of Academic Staff

  • Lead recruitment of all academic staff (teachers, coordinators, HODs).
  • Screen, interview, and select high-quality educators aligned with the schools career-pathway model.
  • Oversee teacher performance evaluations, observations, and improvement plans.
  • Develop the Teacher Professional Development Framework (training, certifications, coaching).
  • Build a strong, disciplined, and high-performance academic culture.

D. Student Performance & Academic Excellence

  • Monitor academic data, exam results, student achievement, and progression.
  • Implement remediation and intervention programs for underperforming students.
  • Introduce enrichment activities, tutoring, clubs, and university readiness programs.
  • Set and monitor academic KPIs for student outcomes.

E. Academic Operations & Scheduling

  • Oversee academic timetables, teacher load distribution, and operational planning.
  • Ensure availability of labs, classrooms, tutoring spaces, and academic resources.
  • Collaborate with operations, boarding, and administrative teams to support learning.

F. Quality Assurance & MOE Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with Thai Ministry of Education regulations.
  • Prepare documentation and lead school inspections and audits.
  • Conduct academic audits, lesson observations, and performance reviews.
  • Maintain all academic records, assessments, and reporting portfolios.

G. Cross-Campus Academic Coordination

  • Align academic standards, policies, and processes across both campuses.
  • Train academic teams and support HODs in pathway development.
  • Facilitate teacher sharing, cross-campus trainings, and academic innovation.
  • Conduct periodic site visits for quality assurance and reporting.

H. Parent, Student & Community Engagement

  • Conduct academic briefings for parents and guardians.
  • Address academic escalations and concerns.
  • Build relationships with universities, medical institutions, career bodies, and educational partners.

3. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Student Outcomes Academic performance, exam results, university acceptance rates.

Teacher Quality Recruitment success, staff performance improvements, retention rates.

4. Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Education or relevant academic field (Science/Medical preferred).
  • 10-15+ years of teaching & academic leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of Thai MOE regulations and school accreditation.
  • Experience with career-pathway curriculum development.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication abilities.
  • Fluent in Thai; English proficiency preferred.
