Work Location: The position is primarily based in the Bangkok campus, with periodic travel to the South Thailand campus as required for academic, operational, and leadership duties.

Role Overview:

The Head of School serves as the chief academic and operational leader of the campus, responsible for ensuring high academic standards, robust operational management, regulatory compliance, and a safe, disciplined, and inspiring learning environment.

They lead curriculum excellence, manage academic and administrative teams, strengthen parent and community relationships, and execute the strategic vision set by the Board and Group CEO.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

The following responsibilities represent the primary scope of the role and may be supplemented with additional duties as required by the Board or the School Group

1. Strategic & Academic Leadership

  • Develop and implement the School Development Plan (SDP) aligned with the groups vision.
  • Lead and oversee curriculum design, ensuring alignment with Thai MOE requirements and the schools career-focused pathways.
  • Introduce academic innovations (medical foundation modules, law pathways, AI/IT labs, business simulations, etc.).
  • Drive continuous improvement in student performance, teaching quality, and academic systems.
  • Ensure smooth operation of boarding-school academic schedules and enrichment programs.

2. Operational & Campus Management

  • Oversee the General Manager/Campus Operations Manager to ensure effective daily operations.
  • Ensure safety, security, boarding operations, cafeteria, transportation, IT, and facilities run efficiently.
  • Ensure high standards in discipline, punctuality, and student conduct.
  • Maintain a 24/7 readiness for emergencies at a boarding school environment.

3. Staff Leadership & Human Resource Management

  • Recruit, onboard, and supervise academic staff (teachers, coordinators, HODs).
  • Conduct performance evaluations and professional development plans.
  • Foster a positive school culture that balances discipline with emotional wellbeing.
  • Set clear KPIs for teachers and academic departments.
  • Lead weekly staff briefings and academic reviews.

4. Student Welfare & Boarding Oversight

  • Ensure boarding houses operate with high discipline, safety, and pastoral care standards.
  • Implement student health and wellbeing programs.
  • Oversee discipline systems, counseling, mentorship, and enrichment activities.
  • Maintain close oversight of dormitory routines, staff, security, and weekend activities.

5. Regulatory Compliance & Licensing

  • Ensure full compliance with Thai Ministry of Education regulations.
  • Maintain accurate academic and administrative records as required by MOE.
  • Lead all MOE inspections, audits, and formal submissions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, PDPA, child protection, and boarding regulations.

6. Parent, Community & Stakeholder Relations

  • Act as the primary spokesperson for the school.
  • Strengthening parent trust through regular updates, open houses, and feedback meetings.
  • Manage escalated parent concerns and ensure timely resolutions.
  • Build relationships with universities, hospitals, law firms, tech companies, and community partners for career pathways.

7. Financial & Budget Oversight

  • Work with the CFO/Finance Manager to prepare annual budgets.
  • Control academic expenses, staffing allocations, and operational costs.
  • Monitor tuition fee collection, scholarships, and resource utilization.
  • Participate in discussions on new investments, expansions, and facilities improvement.

8. Marketing & Admissions Support

  • Participate in school tours, events, and student recruitment campaigns.
  • Help craft the schools academic value proposition.
  • Ensure the schools academic achievements and career outcomes are well-promoted.

9. CAMPUS-SPECIFIC ADD-ONS

A. BANGKOK CAMPUS MEDICAL CAREER FOCUSED (FULL BOARDING)

Additional Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with medical universities, hospitals, clinics, and medical colleges.
  • Implement pre-med foundation programs, entrance test training, lab work, CPR/BLS certification modules.
  • Oversee specialized labs (anatomy, biology, chemistry).
  • Fine-tune schedules around medical-focused learning:
    • Extension science classes
    • Math acceleration
    • Weekend medical camps
    • Lab intensives
  • Maintain strict discipline & academic rigor suitable for medical pathway students.

B. SOUTH CAMPUS MULTI-CAREER FOCUSED (FULL BOARDING)

Additional Responsibilities

  • Build partnerships across law schools, military academies, business faculties, technology providers, AI labs, and corporate partners.
  • Manage multiple career pathways (Law, Business, IT, AI, Military, Hospitality, etc.).
  • Implement real-world simulations:
    • Mock courtrooms
    • AI & coding labs
    • Business incubators
    • Military discipline routines
  • Ensure strong academic diversification while maintaining boarding discipline standards.
  • Introduce career rotations so students can explore multiple paths before choosing majors.

10. Student Retention & Parent Satisfaction

  • Ensure strong student retention by maintaining high academic quality, strong discipline, positive student experience, and proactive parent communication.
  • Identify early signs of student disengagement and implement intervention plans to retain students who may be at risk of leaving.
  • Work with academic, boarding, and operations teams to maintain a safe, supportive, and consistent school environment that encourages students to remain at the school.
  • Build high parent satisfaction through timely updates, transparency, and responsive issue resolution, contributing directly to long-term retention.

11. Qualifications & Skills

  • Masters Degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or related field (required).
  • 10+ years of school leadership experience (Principal, Head of School, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of the Thai National Curriculum and MOE regulations.
  • Experience managing academic teams, operations, and boarding environments.
  • Excellent communication skills in Thai and good command of English.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and people-management abilities.
  • Ability to handle parent communication, student discipline, and staff coordination.
  • High integrity, professionalism, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with a student-centered approach.
  • Fluent in Thai; English proficiency preferred.
