They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Engineering Lead to oversee their engineering department, including the Senior Manager, Software Development and the Senior Manager, Solution Architect, and drive the development of their cutting-edge payment gateway platform.
Job Overview:
The Head of Engineering will play a critical role in the strategic direction, development, and future growth of the company. This senior position requires a dynamic leader who can oversee the technical vision, manage a diverse engineering team, and drive the execution of their product roadmap.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be instrumental in shaping the engineering culture and ensuring the delivery of world-class payment solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Define and drive the technical strategy and architecture of their payment systems, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and reliable.
- Team Building and Management: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Project Management: Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Product Development: Collaborate with Product Management, Design, and other stakeholders to define product requirements and deliver cutting-edge payment solutions.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain rigorous quality assurance and testing practices to ensure the highest standards of product quality.
- Technology Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, and integrate them into the company's technology stack as appropriate.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the engineering budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as a key liaison between the engineering team and executive leadership, providing regular updates on project status, technical challenges, and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a fast-paced tech environment, preferably in the payments or fintech industry.
- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of software development methodologies, architecture, and infrastructure. Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to build, lead, and inspire a high-performing engineering team. Strong mentorship and team development skills.
- Project Management: Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
