Position Summary

They are looking for an experienced Finance Controller to join their team in Bangkok. This is a pivotal role that supports the Corporate Finance Advisor in overseeing the financial operations of the group.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in the Hospitality/Service industry, with proven experience in financial consolidation, corporate finance, compliance, and accounting standards. This position requires a hands-on leader with excellent communication skills, capable of managing a team of 8+ professionals and collaborating with various departments.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Consolidation:

• Manage and oversee all financial reporting activities, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with Thai reporting standards.

Accounting & Corporate Finance:

• Lead the accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and cash flow management. Ensure accurate and timely financial data consolidation across all business units.

Compliance & Audit:

• Maintain compliance with local laws, regulations, and internal SOPs. Liaise with external auditors, particularly big audit firms, to ensure smooth audit processes.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

• Drive the budgeting process, financial forecasting, and variance analysis. Provide strategic insights to the leadership team for effective decision-making.

Systems & Process Improvement:

• Optimize the use of accounting software and financial systems to improve efficiency. Align financial processes with global best practices while adhering to local regulations.

Interdepartmental Coordination:

• Collaborate with different departments to ensure alignment of financial goals and business objectives. Act as a financial advisor to department heads on cost management, profitability, and financial planning.

Team Leadership:

• Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals. Foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and ensure continuous development of team members.

Travel Requirements:

• Be open to frequent travel to various properties for financial reviews and internal audits.

Key Requirements

• 8+ years' experience in finance, accounting, or corporate finance, preferably within the Hospitality/Service industry.
• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or ACCA certification is a plus.
• Strong proficiency in financial consolidation, accounting, and compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of Thai reporting standards.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Proficiency in cash flow management and budgeting processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Hands-on approach with a focus on ownership and problem-solving.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
