Accounting Manager

About the client

Our client is a leading Southeast Asian food manufacturer and distributor based in Thailand, producing its own signature brands, private label products, and co-packaging lines.

In the last 3 decades, the company has developed into a global food company business, with a successful single-minded strategy to be the global leader in climate-friendly and sustainably produced foods.

They have been present in the UK for the last 2 decades and are now looking to hire an experienced accounting professional for their team.

Job Duties:

• Oversee the operations of the Accounting Department
• Supervise Account Department staff, including Accountants, Accounting Assistants, Accounting Clerks, and Bookkeepers 
• Establish accounting systems and enforce policies and procedures
• Evaluate accounting software on company needs
• Process company financial data and run last reconciliations
• Provide upper-level strategic analysis on company financials
• Develop forecasts and scenario planning
• Produce financial statements and reports
• Coordinate efforts across departments to amass accounting information
• Assign projects between accounting staff members
• Maintain chain of command throughout department
• Set schedule for accounting department projects
• Ensure accuracy throughout the financial record
• Providing all accounting and financial reports and documents needed by the companys external auditors
• Evaluating a companys financial transactions to ensure they comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

Skill and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 8+ years relevant experience, along with leading teams,  organizational skills, CPA preferred.
• Strong experience in IFRS and UK GAAP.
• Experience using different accounting software and methods.
• Knowledge of accounting laws, standards, regulations, and practices.
• Experience in forecast development, scenario modelling, and strategic analysis, Attention to detail, Analytical skills, Prioritization skills.
