As the CFO/Finance & Accounting Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial direction of the company in the hospitality sector. You will work closely with the executive team to ensure financial stability and strategic growth. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the hospitality industry, particularly with a hotel company, and a background as an ex-Big 4 auditor.
General Job Responsibilities
The company is seeking a dynamic individual to become part of its leadership team as Chief Financial Officer. This individual will be a proactive, team-oriented leader, with experience in a global company, that is able to thrive in a growing, entrepreneurial organisation.
This position has broad responsibility across the organization including commercialisation strategy, planning, implementing, running, and managing all Finance and Accounting functions. Activities include (but are not limited to) fundraising, investor relations, investor/partnership compliance, business planning, budgeting, forecasting, federal, state and international tax compliance, annual audits, long range planning, ensuring appropriate tools/systems, business partnerships, modelling, ROI analysis as well as negotiating key contracts. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires the candidate to support both high-level complex finance and accounting responsibilities as well as having the ability to dive into details on a day- to-day basis.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and execute financial strategies to support the company's growth objectives.
- Provide financial guidance to senior leadership on investment decisions and risk management.
- Prepare and present financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to the board of directors.
Accounting and Reporting:
- Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Ensure compliance with international accounting standards and local regulations.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Risk Management and Compliance:
- Manage financial risks and implement effective internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT and corporate tax filings.
- Collaborate with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.
Cash Flow Management:
- Monitor cash flow and working capital to optimize liquidity and capital allocation.
- Implement cost control measures and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
Capital Management:
- Evaluate and recommend financing options, including debt and equity, to support growth initiatives.
- Manage relationships with financial institutions and investors.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Recruit, train, and develop finance professionals as needed to support business objectives.

Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry, particularly with a hotel company, is essential. Proven track record as an ex-Big 4 auditor.
- Demonstrated and significant experience in fundraising efforts
- Strong knowledge of tax, internal controls, and financial reporting required.
- Thorough knowledge of financial laws and regulations
- Excellent financial analysis and strategic planning skills.
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English & Thai language.
