Finance Manager

About the client:

Our client is a Series A funded Fintech start-up striving to revolutionise B2B payment by providing an all-in-one checkout solution that empowers businesses to pay now or later. 

They are seeking a detail-oriented and strategically minded Accountant/Finance Executive/Manager to join their finance team. 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing their financial records, analysing financial data, and ensuring the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, and consolidating transactions.

Role reports directly to Co-Founder.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a timely basis.
• Prepare financial statements, including monthly and annual accounts.
• Manage all aspects of the accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Assist with budget preparation and manage cash flow forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
• Work closely with the financial manager to analyse finances and develop budgets that will keep the company's costs down.
• Perform variance analysis and prepare account reconciliations.
• Coordinate with finance team members to review financial information and forecasts.
• Provide advice on financial matters impacting on the company as a whole.
• Prepare tax documents for corporate tax submissions.
• Liaise with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out.
• Develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of accounting/finance experience, preferably in a fintech lending business.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
