Job Overview:
They are looking to onboard a dynamic and experienced International Expansion - Partnerships professional to lead its expansion efforts into Indonesia, Vietnam, and Thailand. The ideal candidate will have a background in fintech, digital payments, crypto, or fast-growing startups, with strong business development and sales
experience. You will be responsible for building partnerships, managing cross- functional teams, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys the challenge of expanding into new markets. You will initially be based in Mongolia for a year or two, after which you will relocate to your base location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales s Business Development: Drive sales and business development initiatives by identifying new opportunities, building partnerships, and expanding company's presence in Indonesia, Vietnam, and Thailand.
- Lead Market Expansion: Oversee market entry strategies and ensure successful launch and growth in SEA markets.
- Partnership Development: Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local vendors, regulators, and partners.
- Cross-functional Team Management: Work closely with sales, legal, marketing, and IT teams to support expansion initiatives.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with local financial services regulations and legal requirements.
- Market Research s Analysis: Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive insights.
- Proposal Development: Draft business proposals and strategic plans for market entry and expansion.
- Vendor Management: Work with local vendors, leveraging technical knowledge to manage these partnerships effectively.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in business development, sales, and market expansion within financial services, fintech, or fast-growing startups in SEA.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiar with fintech services, digital payments, and compliance frameworks.
- Sales Skills: Proven track record of driving sales and building partnerships in diverse markets.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English; additional local languages are a plus.
- Communication s Cultural Sensitivity: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams across the region.
- Analytical s Strategic Thinking: Ability to assess market trends and develop strategies for successful market entry.
- Technical Knowledge: Experience working with local tech vendors and a solid understanding of regulatory compliance.
