About the client

Our client is a leading Southeast Asian food manufacturer and distributor based in Thailand, producing its own signature brands, private label products, and co-packaging lines. 

In the last 3 decades, the company has developed into a global food company business, with a successful single-minded strategy to be the global leader in climate-friendly and sustainably produced foods.

They have been present in the UK for the last 2 decades and are now looking to hire an experienced finance leader to manage their USA & UK finance.

About the role

  • The CFO manages and leads the financial activities of the company (USA & UK)
  • Responsible for managing the accounting, finance, FP&A and investor relations
  • Ensuring the finance/accounting team provide accurate and timely reports, and manage the business in a robust and efficient way.
  • Driving commercial optimisation and best practice
  • Maintenance and enhancing the financial planning, forecasting and analysis to ensure optimal resource allocation, future planning and performance
  • Driving the capital markets strategy, determining the best mix of debt, equity in UK & USA, fundraising to maximise shareholder value and ensure optimal funding structure
  • Performs effective risk management and plan the organizations financial strategy, tracks cash flow, and identifies investment opportunities and implement budgeting initiatives company-wide
  • Provide financial strategy recommendations to CEO and executive team

Requirements

  • Fluent English speaker (British citizens only)
  • Experience as CFO of public listed company (NASDAQ preferred)
  • 5-10 years high managerial function is sufficient
  • Experience in food manufacturing, retail, supermarket, e-commerce, or delivery industries
  • Good grasp of US GAAP accounting or IFRS
  • Awareness of operational requirements of running a finance function in UK and international market.
  • Able to confidently pitch and negotiate with senior investment executives of global companies.
  • M&A experience in negotiation, due diligence and management a significant plus
  • Desire to work in a fast paced environment with fast evaluation and decision making process
  • Clear communications style.
  • Fast learner of new topics, able to absorb and present to other.
