About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Investment Professional with a strong background in the insurance industry to join our client's investment team. 

The ideal candidate will have direct experience in the investment department of a top-tier Thai insurance companies, such as AIA, FWD, etc., with in-depth knowledge of insurance investment strategies, asset management, and regulatory requirements specific to Thai insurers. 

This is a key role that will contribute to optimizing the company's investment portfolio in line with the regulatory framework and corporate goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute investment strategies tailored for the insurance industry, with a focus on maximizing returns within the regulatory framework.
  • Manage asset allocation, investment portfolio performance, and risk management in line with insurance investment guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure investment decisions align with corporate objectives and insurance-specific regulations.
  • Conduct market research, financial analysis, and due diligence on potential investment opportunities.
  • Monitor and analyze the regulatory environment, including permitted investments for Thai insurers, and ensure compliance with the Office of Insurance Commission (OIC) regulations.
  • Provide detailed reports and presentations to senior management regarding portfolio performance, investment risks, and potential opportunities.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including asset managers, investment partners, and regulatory bodies.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in investment management, with at least 3 years in the insurance sector.
  • Proven track record working within the investment team of a top-tier Thai insurance company (AIA, FWD, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of insurance investment strategies, asset management, and regulatory guidelines for Thai insurers.
  • Familiarity with the regulatory framework and compliance requirements of the Office of Insurance Commission (OIC).
  • Excellent financial analysis and decision-making skills, with a deep understanding of risk management and asset allocation.
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field; CFA or other relevant qualifications preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to senior management.
