About the role

Our client is seeking candidates located in Singapore or Malaysia area to join their APAC regional sales team.

As a Business Development Director, you are responsible for client acquisition/new business, developing long term relationships and understanding the critical business strategies of their customers across Asia Pacific and work with a team of subject matter experts to create and execute solutions to help the customer achieve their business objectives.

Role Vision


A seasoned professional, the Business Development Director, APAC (BDD) will be someone with a very high drive towards sales conversion who has worked with large enterprise decision-makers and has the ability to influence and inspire clients and associates.
Highly skilled at revenue generation, pre-sales and business insight, this person will join and inspire a team of like-minded go-getters to achieve company's growth plan-  Create revenue streams from their services and products portfolio that will truly make a difference.

Compensation Opportunity: 
They offer a base salary, plus commissions tied to revenue production, and a fiscal year bonus calculated based on your revenue productivity and profitability of that revenue.

Job Scope / Responsibilities


Generate annual revenue by signing multiple large deals with new brands across the Asia region
Plan and execute robust business growth strategies to achieve multi-million revenue targets.
Lead business development activities and develop new opportunities in existing and new clients.
Engage and manage clients at appropriate levels, including C-suites across different functions.
Negotiate commercial terms of engagement for new business and contract renewals.
Work with the Client Services & Rewards team to ensure that project goals are met.
Nurture relationships with existing clients to Retain and Expand existing accounts
Support the Managing Director, APAC with strategic alliances and partnerships

Qualifications, Desired Skills & Experience


Self-starter who can rapidly build new accounts using their robust network of executive buyers and influencers - relationship-selling approach.
Strong knowledge of the APAC markets across multiple industry sectors.
Experience of managing large RFPs/Tenders projects.
Facility towards Smart Search insight gathering to quickly build intimacy with target clients.
Natural aptitude towards human connection to collaborate and lead teams to a common goal.
Ability to influence decision making and work across executive and operational levels.
Minimum seven years of direct B2B sales experience calling on Fortune 1000 companies.
Clear history of consultative and value selling for HR/Tech consulting services
Large volume sales experience ($350k+ plus per sale).
Experience with broad range of sales cycles (three to six to twelve and twenty four months).
Ability to travel regularly to build relationships towards regional deals
Ideally but not mandatory, take part in public speaking activities to develop company's brand presence
History of career stability with a maximum of three employers in the last ten years.
Four-year college degree is required; advanced degree is a plus.
