About the Role:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Wireless Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced satellite and wireless communication systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge waveforms, advanced signal processing algorithms, and Software-Defined Radio systems while driving innovation in hybrid communication technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Waveform Design & Optimization
- Lead the design of advanced waveforms for SDR modems in satellite and wireless communication systems.
- Optimize waveforms for efficient spectrum utilization, low latency, and high throughput in diverse environments.
Advanced Signal Processing Algorithms
- Develop and implement advanced signal processing algorithms for waveform shaping, modulation, and spectral management.
- Enhance system robustness through techniques such as error correction (LDPC, Turbo Codes) and adaptive modulation.
SDR Integration
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate waveforms into SDR-based modems.
- Optimize signal processing pipelines for high-throughput, low-latency communication systems.
Network Topologies & Architecture
- Design and optimize network topologies (Mesh, Star, SCPC) for satellite and wireless communication systems.
- Adapt waveforms and communication protocols to address challenges like interference, bandwidth allocation, and scalability.
Testing & Validation
- Conduct simulations, lab testing, and field trials to validate waveform performance under real-world conditions.
- Refine designs to meet performance benchmarks for various channel conditions, including interference and mobility.
Research & Collaboration
- Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies like 5G/6G, massive MIMO, and hybrid communication standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align system architecture with performance goals.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in waveform design, signal processing, and SDR modem development for satellite and wireless communication systems.
- Strong knowledge of digital signal processing, adaptive modulation, and interference mitigation.
- Familiarity with tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, and GNU Radio.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in advanced communication techniques like massive MIMO, beamforming, and network topologies (Mesh, Star, SCPC).
- Proficiency in programming languages like C++, Python, and MATLAB for SDR implementation.
- Deep understanding of satellite communication systems (DVB-S2, LEO, MEO, GEO) and wireless standards (LTE, 5G, IoT).
