Job Title: Senior Engineer Testing and Configuration

About the Role

KATIM, part of EDGE Group, is a leader in secure communication and advanced defense technology. As part of their Dismounted Soldier System (DSS) program, they are seeking a Senior Engineer Testing and Configuration to play a key role in system integration, validation, and configuration management.

This role focuses on ensuring seamless integration of military-grade systems and subsystems, working closely with cross-functional teams to meet performance, reliability, and operational requirements in tactical environments.

Key Responsibilities

System Integration & Testing

• Oversee the integration of subsystems into the DSS program, ensuring seamless functionality and adherence to specifications.
• Develop and execute test plans for system-level, integration, and field testing to validate system performance.
• Conduct system verification and validation (V&V) to ensure all subsystems meet functional and operational requirements.
• Troubleshoot system issues, collaborating with engineering teams to implement solutions.

Configuration Management

• Implement and maintain configuration control for all system components, ensuring the latest versions are accurately tracked.
• Work with configuration management tools to support document control and change management processes.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare detailed technical documentation, including test reports, integration plans, and configuration change requests.
• Provide regular updates to management and stakeholders on integration progress and test results.

Electrical & Safety Engineering Expertise

• Ensure electrical system integration meets performance and safety standards within the DSS program.
• Implement and enforce military and industry safety regulations during integration and testing.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
• Certification in Project Management (PMP or equivalent) is a plus.

Experience:

• 12+ years in system engineering, focusing on integration, testing, and configuration management.
• Proven expertise in Dismounted Soldier Systems, military systems integration, or combat systems.
• Strong background in test planning, execution, and reporting for military-grade technology.
• Experience with system troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of military specifications, compliance, and safety standards for soldier systems.

Key Skills & Certifications:

• Experience with military systems, defense technology, and field testing.
• Strong knowledge of automation tools for testing and configuration.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
