About the Role:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Antenna Systems Engineer MIMO & Phased Array to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the design, development, and optimization of MIMO antenna technology, with a focus on electronically steerable phase array antennas. Key Responsibilities:
Research and Development:
- Lead the R&D efforts in MIMO antenna technology, driving innovative solutions in beamforming, signal processing, and antenna design.
- Design and Optimization:
- Oversee the design and optimization of electronically steerable phase array antennas, ensuring they meet or exceed industry standards for performance.
- System Integration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate MIMO and phase array antenna systems into larger, complex communication systems.
- Testing and Validation:
- Develop and implement testing methodologies and procedures to validate the performance and reliability of MIMO/Phase Array antenna systems in various real-world environments.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain thorough documentation of design specifications, test results, and project progress. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate technical findings to stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
- Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field required; Ph.D. preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in the research, design, and implementation of advanced antenna systems, with a particular focus on MIMO technology.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing technical teams and driving projects to completion.
Technical Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of MIMO antenna theory, beamforming techniques, spatial multiplexing, and array signal processing.
- Hands-on experience with simulation tools such as MATLAB, CST Microwave Studio, HFSS, or FEKO.
- Proficiency in RF circuit design tools such as ADS, Microwave Office.
Key Skills:
- MIMO antenna design, including beamforming, spatial multiplexing, and diversity techniques.
- Advanced digital signal processing algorithms for MIMO systems, such as channel estimation, precoding, and equalization.
- Antenna measurement techniques and equipment for laboratory and field testing.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and address complex technical challenges.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
