Job Title: Excellence Manager

Were supporting a global manufacturing leader in their search for an Excellence Manager to drive the deployment of a world-class integrated operating system across their Hungary site. This role plays a critical part in advancing operational performance, embedding continuous improvement, and leading site-wide transformation through Lean and TPM methodologies.
The ideal candidate will bring a track record of delivering impactful change in large-scale manufacturing environments, with deep expertise in systems like IWS or TPM and the ability to influence culture at every level of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Lean Systems Deployment
- Lead the implementation of the companys excellence model (FEM) in alignment with global strategy
- Represent the site in global transformation workshops and ensure alignment with corporate standards
- Develop a local roadmap to move through defined performance phases and embed Lean culture
Leadership & Culture Development
- Establish and manage a dedicated on-site FEM structure, including capability building and career paths
- Guide leadership teams to foster a high-performance, continuous improvement mindset
- Champion employee engagement, innovation, and ownership at all levels of the business
Integrated Operating System Execution
- Deploy standard work processes, daily management systems, and continuous improvement tools
- Align all operational activities with global best practices and coordinate training programs accordingly
- Drive the standardisation and knowledge sharing of LEAN methodologies across all departments
Cross-Functional Engagement & Governance
- Ensure collaboration with non-operations functions (HR, Finance, Commercial, etc.) in applying FEM standards
- Provide oversight on performance tracking, compliance, and sustainability metrics
- Ensure safety, environmental, and local compliance standards are fully embedded in operations
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related)
- Minimum 15 years experience in manufacturing, with a strong focus on Lean (IWS or TPM)
- At least 5 years of experience managing and developing teams
- 8+ years deploying Lean systems across global manufacturing environments
- Strong technical knowledge in operating system design, standardisation, and CI tools
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Preferred
- Exposure to quality, product development, supply chain, and sustainability practices
- Strong leadership, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration abilities
- Confident communicator with the ability to drive cultural and operational transformation
