Logistics Backoffice Support Specialist

Rate: $7–$9/hour

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Logistics Backoffice Support Specialist to join our team and provide administrative and operational support to our logistics operations.

The ideal candidate has experience in logistics, transportation, dispatching, or a related industry, but we are also open to candidates from other industries who are highly technical, adaptable, strong communicators, and quick learners.

You will play an important role in keeping daily operations organized by supporting drivers, coordinating with shipping and receiving locations, monitoring communications, and assisting with various back-office tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to emails in a timely and professional manner
• Assist with dispatching and daily logistics coordination
• Respond to driver questions, requests, and operational issues
• Coordinate and confirm pickup numbers
• Make outbound calls to shipping and receiving locations
• Verify pickup and delivery appointments
• Communicate with drivers, facilities, and internal team members
• Assist with resolving scheduling and operational issues
• Maintain accurate information in spreadsheets and internal systems
• Provide general administrative and back-office support
• Follow established SOPs and company procedures
• Learn and effectively use internal systems and tools

Requirements

• Availability to work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM Eastern Time
• Strong written and spoken English
• Comfortable communicating and negotiating professionally over the phone
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency with:
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Google Sheets
  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft PowerPoint
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to follow SOPs and learn new systems quickly
• Reliable computer equipment
• Stable, high-speed internet connection
• Ability to work exclusively in this role during scheduled hours
