Job Openings Tech Product Manager (AI Systems)

About the job Tech Product Manager (AI Systems)

Our Client is a AI start-up company. You will work directly alongside engineers to define system architecture, run evaluations, and navigate complex trade-offs. Sitting at the intersection of user needs, model capabilities, and system constraints, your core responsibility is translating raw AI potential into reliable, high-quality behaviors for global users.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Define Product & System Strategy: Research end-to-end AI requirements and translate model capabilities, data constraints, and evaluation results into clear product decisions.
  • Navigate Complex Trade-offs: Make high-stakes architectural decisions that balance output quality, latency, operational cost, reliability, and the user experience.
  • Drive Cross-Functional Execution: Partner directly with ML, backend, and mobile engineering teams on system design and iteration, providing clear specs and disciplined prioritization.
  • Lead Evaluation & Measurement: Design and evolve robust evaluation frameworks encompassing offline metrics, live online experiments, and human-in-the-loop feedback.
  • Own Quality End-to-End: Ship systems quickly and safely while maintaining ultimate accountability for product correctness, predictability, and user trust.

What You Will Need

  • Deep Technical Acumen: A strong foundation in computer science (algorithms, data structures, system design) and the ability to comfortably review and debate technical design documents.
  • Applied AI Experience: Hands-on exposure to building and iterating on LLM-based systems, including managing complex prompts, pipelines, and feedback loops.
  • Intuition for Model Behavior: A solid understanding of ML fundamentals and production realities, including how to mitigate hallucinations, model bias, and data drift.
  • Proven Product Leadership: Significant experience owning complex, technical products end-to-end and successfully collaborating with senior ML and engineering teams.
  • Strategic Judgment: The ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving environments by balancing ambitious product vision with technical and operational realities.
