Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Education: A BSc or MSc in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in a finance-related role, with experience in online or digital companies considered a distinct plus.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
  • Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Work Style: A highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive approach, with the ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the confidence to work autonomously while remaining a great team player.
  • Growth Mindset: An eagerness to learn and grow within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Group's Financial Controller, the Finance & Accounting Officer will handle a diverse range of tasks, including:

  • Invoicing & Cash Flow: Managing invoicing and collection processes, as well as incoming and outgoing payments (including international transfers) and their proper filing.
  • Reporting & Reconciliations: Preparing monthly liquidity and payment reports, performing reconciliations, and identifying/investigating financial discrepancies to provide insights to management.
  • Tax & Compliance: Assisting with VAT and tax reporting while staying updated on regulations across the EU, US, and other key regions.
  • Banking & Onboarding: Supporting KYC and onboarding processes for banks and EMIs, and conducting market research for potential new banking partnerships.
  • Treasury Support: Monitoring daily FX rates and providing strategic suggestions for currency conversions.
  • External Collaboration: Handling correspondence with external partners (such as banks) and collaborating with auditors and external advisors to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Ad Hoc Duties: Assisting with various ad hoc financial tasks as required.
