Senior Manager/Head, Finance (Retail)

About the Company

Our client is a growing convenience retail brand with a mission to modernize everyday shopping. With rapid expansion across Malaysia, we're seeking a Senior Manager/Head, Finance with strong financial leadership, commercial awareness, and a keen eye for process and system improvements.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic finance agenda across budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance analysis to support business growth.
• Partner closely with CFO and cross-functional teams to provide financial insights, identify gaps, and drive data-backed decision-making.
• Oversee the finance operations team to ensure timely and accurate reporting, strong controls, and compliance, while remaining focused on higher-value strategic initiatives.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements (ERP, POS, inventory) to strengthen reporting visibility and scalability.
• Support IPO readiness initiatives, including governance, audit readiness, financial controls, and reporting standards.
• Lead expansion and growth planning through scenario analysis, investment evaluation, and business case support.
• Coach, and lead a lean finance team, creating a strong performance and partnering culture..

Job Requirements:

• Bachelors' Degree in Accounting/Finance.
• Strong career background in an audit firm is a plus.
• Preferably extensive experience working in commercial firm (Retail/Trading/Wholesale), with at least 8–10 years of total experience.
• Proven track record in process improvement, SOP development, and system implementation.
  
• Strong understanding of cash flow, working capital, cost control, and internal controls.
  
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and hands-on leader who thrives in a high-growth, fast-moving environment.
  

Remuneration:

• MYR 12,000 - MYR 18,000 (Open to further discuss depending on experience)
