About the job Project Engineer - Cleaning & M&E, Shah Alam

We are looking for an experienced and technically competent Project Engineer to lead and successfully deliver clean-industrial plant construction projects, with a focus on HVAC systems, cleanroom environments and multi-disciplinary engineering works. The ideal candidate will have strong project management capabilities, solid engineering knowledge and hands-on experience in cleanroom and M&E installation projects.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

  • Lead projects throughout the full project lifecycle, including planning, design coordination, contract execution, construction management and project handover.
  • Manage the execution of EPC, design-build and construction management projects.
  • Coordinate project activities to ensure successful delivery within agreed quality, safety, cost and schedule requirements.
  • Oversee project cost control, budgeting and overall P&L performance.

Technical & Systems Management

  • Provide technical leadership throughout the design, engineering, installation, testing, commissioning and handover phases of cleanroom and MEP systems.
  • Oversee multi-disciplinary engineering integration covering:
    • HVAC
    • Cleanroom building systems
    • Electrical and mechanical services
    • Plumbing and sanitary systems
    • Fire protection
    • ELV
    • BMS
    • Process utility systems
  • Manage TAB (Test and Balance), system performance testing, FAT, SAT, commissioning and validation activities, including IQ/OQ/PQ where applicable.
  • Verify that MEP and cleanroom systems achieve specified environmental performance requirements, including:
    • Cleanroom classification
    • Differential pressure
    • Temperature
    • Humidity
    • Air-flow rate
    • Enclosure airtightness

Stakeholder, Authority & Technical Coordination

  • Liaise with authorities, consultants, system owners and technical stakeholders to resolve project-related technical and execution issues.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, DOSH requirements, EHS standards and cleanroom protocols.
  • Attend commercial, design, technical, internal and site meetings as the company's project representative.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure technical requirements and project objectives are achieved.

Project Delivery & Handover

  • Monitor project execution and coordinate engineering and construction activities across relevant disciplines.
  • Ensure quality, safety, cost and schedule requirements are maintained throughout project delivery.
  • Coordinate testing, commissioning, validation and final handover activities.
  • Ensure project requirements are properly documented and completed prior to handover.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
  • 3–5 years of relevant working experience in the cleanroom and M&E industry.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one relevant engineering discipline, with mandatory hands-on experience implementing and delivering cleanroom and M&E installation projects.
  • Candidates with cleanroom design experience will be given priority.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
  • Candidates with BIM skills will be prioritised.
  • Willing to travel and be stationed on-site.
  • Possess a valid CIDB Green Card and solid basic safety knowledge.
  • Excellent command in spoken and written Mandarin

Remuneration & Benefits

Salary: RM4,000 - RM6,000
