About the Company:

Our client is a fully owned subsidiary of a company that has signed on a brand as the first customer for its new insurance service that is part of its proposition to offer tailored packaged financial solutions for the best profitability. The introduction of the insurance service further enhances the range of products and services offered by our client in Malaysia to provide total solutions for the best profitability for Malaysian express bus and truck operators.

Job Responsibilities:

The main responsibility of this role is to offer the financial solution package for customers and collect documents for credit analysis process, administrate the finance contract process (all relevant documents including pledge and registration) and system, monitor payment performance of existing customer and follow up over due, support Credit Manager to issue notice letter and all legal issues.

Sales Activities:

  • Introduce and sell/market financial products to prospective and existing clients. Selling methods to be aligned with corporate vision.
  • Meet with prospective and existing clients in order to;
    - Negotiate financing deals
    - Learn their business
    - Collect information
    - Maintain relationship
    - Sign agreements
    - Add value to client and its Customers
  • Regular visit to Rebuild Prime Mover body builder and Bus Body Builder. Build relationship and source leads/prospect from them. Follow up closely on the leads/prospect and provide feed back to the body builder
  • Assess the credit worthiness of prospective clients within the guidelines of client Finance credit policy. Where deemed acceptable risk at acceptable margin, prepare and submit suitable credit application within a prescribed format to the SFO credit committee for sanction.
  • Develop and foster relationships with the client salesmen, with the express purpose of:
  • Generating and procuring sales opportunities,
  • Promoting client Value Based Selling approach
  • Gaining information on customer behaviour, markets trends and opportunities
  • Understanding the client product and its value over time
    
    Sales Administration
  • If necessary, preparation of financing agreements with supplementary agreements and securities
  • Assure agreements are properly signed and if applicable legalised in due course
  • Arrange to have SCMY securities perfected (e.g. vehicle registrations/pledge)
  • Prepare and maintain sales reports that include but are exclusive to:
    - Activity reports
    - Pipeline report
    - Lead received report
    - Conversion/Quotation reports
  • Any other sales management reports and/or meetings deemed appropriate by SFO management

    Credit Administration
  • Monitor performance of portfolio for signs of weakening customer behaviour
  • Engage with default clients early and frequently in order to:
    - Regularise the default behaviour
    - Understand customer challenges
    - Assess whether support is warranted
    - Report to SFO credit committee on findings and recommendation
  • To institute legal action, that could include:
    - Repossession proceedings
    - Winding up proceedings
    - Collection proceedings
    - Restructure proceedings
  • Where applicable, repossess financed assets and attend to their remarketing

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in finance, economics, business, or equivalent experience
  • Relevant sales experience in the asset finance industry
  • Sound knowledge on the asset-based finance industry (Knowledge of Commercial vehicle market an advantage)
  • Proficient in both Bahasa Malay and English in writing and speaking
  • Intermediate computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Remuneration:

Up to RM 5,000
