About the Role:
Works under the supervision of the Head of Foundation, assisting in setting priorities for organizational growth and development. Responsibilities include implementing the Board's Strategic Plan and ensuring program and fiscal accountability, covering financial, operational, administrative, and legal aspects of daily management. Key areas of focus include resource development, public relations, marketing, fiscal management, staff supervision, and adherence to standard nonprofit business practices.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Organizational Development
- Assist in overseeing the execution of Board's Strategic Plan, ensuring regular reviews and updates as approved by the Board.
- Propose goals and strategies aligned with the foundations mission to support organizational growth.
- Provide oversight and support to program staff, including implementing short- and long-term staff development plans.
Financial Management and Administration
- Maintain fiscal responsibility for the annual budget and provide regular updates to the Board to build a sustainable financial model.
- Ensure fiscal and legal accountability for programs and related funding.
- Negotiate with external entities, including governments and private businesses, on behalf of the organization.
Program Development and Management
- Designing and developing programs that align with the Foundations overall strategic goals.
- Identifying and cultivating relationships with partner organizations.
- Overseeing and supporting the implementation and delivery of program initiatives.
- Managing the administrative aspects of all program services, including contract negotiations, grant reporting, and monitoring contracted work.
Requirements:
- Degree / Master's holder in a relevant field.
- Minimum of five years' experience in program and leadership roles in the non-profit sector.
- Demonstrated ability to balance strategic leadership with day-to-day management tasks.
- Strong references and a proven background in addressing community issues.
- Confident public speaking abilities and excellent writing skills.
- Proficiency in relevant computer applications.
- Good organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva) and other relevant skills.
- A high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all administrative tasks.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Willing to travel overseas (moderate).
Remuneration:
- RM 10,000 - RM 12,000
- 13-month salary
