Job Summary/Purpose

  • Market Penetration: Develop the logistics business by identifying and securing new customers through proactive prospecting and cold calling.
  • Relationship Building: Establish long-term business relationships with major customers through close interaction and excellent service.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Handle customer feedback professionally, implementing corrective actions to maintain client satisfaction.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed about market trends and competitor activities, providing valuable insights to management

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Explore new opportunities by researching potential leads, meeting new customer and marketing sales call.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to secure new customers
  • Build and maintain strong networks and with vendors (Forwarder & Forwarding) and Carriers.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of services to customers ( Team Work)
  • Keep track of the latest market trends and development.
  • Follow up with carriers and HQ for updated pricing, sailing schedules, charges, news, regulations and any changes.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in shipping industry;
  • Familiar with and able to work on Ocean/Air/LCL export and import shipments under CIF, FOB, DDU,DDP and EXW terms;
  • Familiar with and able to work on Transpacific trade including: base port & inland ports,
  • all water services & IPI/RIPI routes, relevant regulation and filing requirements, destination
  • matters such as customs clearance, door delivery and setting up DDP shipments;
  • Have an existing clientele and capable of independently sourcing and expanding the new
  • client base;
  • Able to work independently or collaboratively with the team and related parties to secure deals and resolve issues; and
  • Able to build and maintain strong networks and relationships with customers, vendors (forwarder & forwarding) and carriers

REMUNERATION

RM6,000 to RM8,500 basic salary + commission + allowances
