About the job Marketing Manager (Asia)
Our client operates major sporting events throughout Asia with headquarters in Kuala Lumpur. They are urgently looking for an experienced and energetic Marketing Manager to join their new team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute marketing strategies tailored to the Asian region, targeting Chinese-speaking communities.
- Identify, secure, and manage partnerships with sponsors, influencers, and media partners to drive sponsorships and collaborations.
- Leverage existing relationships with Chinese-language media and writers to ensure strong media coverage for company events and tournaments.
- Write and edit high-quality, engaging content for marketing campaigns, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels and audiences.
- Oversee marketing activities at events, working with the operations team to ensure all marketing materials are prepared and distributed on time.
- Execute campaigns for player growth, promotions, paid ads, and loyalty programs, tailored to both new and returning players.
- Work with designers to create marketing assets and ensure brand consistency in all creative outputs.
- Work with marketing team members to align on strategy, providing guidance and feedback when needed.
- Track and optimize campaign performance, using data to refine marketing strategies based on key metrics such as player acquisition, retention, and engagement.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Strong background in marketing communications and branding roles; with sound knowledge in social media and trends
- Ability to analyze marketing performance and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Must be willing and able to travel overseas frequently to event locations (5-7 trips per year, each lasting 10-14 days).
- Strong networks with Chinese-language media and social media platforms preferred.
- Fluent in English and Chinese with strong verbal and written skills.
Salary up to RM15,000/month
Based in Kuala Lumpur
Working days: Mon - Fri (9am to 6pm)
