Job Responsibilities 

  • To carry out poultry disease control, prevention and treatment at Farm.
  • To plan, organize and direct day to day veterinary programs at the Farms.
  • To advise Farm Management on veterinary matters.
  • To lead the management team to comply with the criteris set by the Department of Veterinary Services for the continued myGAP (Malaysia Good Agricultural Practices) certification.
  • To ensure all Veterinary aspects of good animal husbandry practices (GAHP), flock health monitoring and programs are adhered to at all times for continuous, efficient and productive farm management.
  • Ensure biosecurity, vaccination, routine medications, disease monitoring, diagnostics, laboratory sampling and result interpretation are carried out routinely, or as required.
  • Ensure all farm resources (labour, livestocks, feeds, biologics and pharmaceuticals, equipment, buildings and facilities including water, etc) and farm produce (eggs, spent hents) are well kept and utilized, well maintained, adequately recorded and accounted for.

Requirements

  • Must possess a Doctor Veterinary Medicine and valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) issued by Malaysian Veterinary Council (MVC).
  • Fresh graduate or with experience as Veterinarian in broiler breeder or layer farm.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation abilities.
  • Professional knowledge and ethical standards in all aspects set by the MVC.
  • Ability to do postmortem and diagnose poultry diseases accurately
  • Display a high degree of accuracy, attention to details and the discipline to follow up outstanding matters.
  • Detail-oriented, good interpersonal skills, team player and possesses self-initiative.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with employees and stakeholders.
  • Experienced in executing and improving procedures.
  • Able to engage in a professional and collaborative manner with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Well verse in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience in SAP environment, Microsoft Outlook, Team and OneDrive is an added advantage.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

Remuneration

  • Up to MYR 6,500
