Product Design Engineer

About the Company:

Located at Senai, Johor. The Client is a global leader in high-performance interconnect solutions, designing and manufacturing advanced connectors, cable assemblies, and sensors across communications, automotive, and industrial sectors.

We are looking for Product Design Engineer / Senior Design Engineer to participate in new product development and product improvements with a disciplined focus on connector solution design, ensuring quality, manufacturability, and adherence to customer requirements and international standards.

Responsibilities:

• Product Design & Development: Translate customer requirements into product drawings and specifications, perform design analysis, verification, tolerance analysis, and conduct DFMEA.
• Project & Technical Leadership: Take on project leadership roles, define and reconcile technical DFM (Design for Manufacturing) with the Process Design team, and ensure product validation per customer requirements and international standards.
• Engineering Support & Cost Optimization: Handle product engineering responsibilities for assigned product lines, participate in integrated teams to resolve customer dissatisfaction, and improve designs to reduce manufacturing costs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of product design development experience with an excellent grasp of engineering and design principles. (Senior/Staff positions require excellent design leadership skills and relevant product life-cycle knowledge).
• Proficiency in Mandarin and English.
• Proficient in Mechanical Design, Solid Mechanics theory, Tolerance Analysis, CAD/CAE tools (Pro-Engineer CREO & ANSYS Structural Analysis), and engineering drawing industry standards.
• Experience in the interconnects design industry (e.g., SFF-TA-1001/1002, PCIe CEM), connector applications, plastic technology, insert-molding, and stamping processes.

Remunerations:

Up To RM 8,000
