R&D FPGA Engineer
About the job R&D FPGA Engineer
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and debug FPGA/RTL solutions for new products and systems through the full product life cycle from customer/market requirement definition through release and post-release support.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (hardware, firmware/software, validation) to ensure FPGA implementation meets product specifications, functionality, and performance requirements.
- Define and document design architecture, module interfaces, and verification/test approaches; contribute to product specifications and validation plans.
- Develop and execute testing/validation activities to evaluate designs against specifications, and drive issue resolution via root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by monitoring industry/technology trends and applying appropriate new methods/tools to improve design quality, performance, or development efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or Master's or Ph.D. with a research focus on digital systems, VLSI, signal processing or a closely related technical discipline.
- Experience with Xilinx Vivado/ISE and/or Intel/Altera Quartus Prime.
- Experience with Python, C/C++, or MATLAB/Simulink for DSP modeling and algorithm prototyping.
