Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the Company's:
    • Quality Management System (QMS)
    • Environmental Management System (EMS)
    • Safety Management System (SMS)
    • Customer-specific requirements and relevant international standards
  • Establish and maintain quality documentation, ensuring all procedures, records, specifications and manuals are current, accurate, and properly controlled.
  • Serve as key point person and lead all internal, external, customer, certification and regulatory audits.
  • Lead, manage, develop and train the QA/QC team to ensure effective execution of quality assurance and quality control activities.
  • Ensure effective inspection and testing of incoming raw materials, packaging materials, in-process products and finished goods to meet established quality standards.
  • Monitor product quality performance and drive corrective, preventive and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage customer complaints, conduct root cause analysis and ensure timely implementation and verification of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Oversee laboratory operations, including:
    • Testing and analysis activities
    • Validation and implementation of new testing methods and equipment
    • Troubleshooting laboratory equipment and testing procedures
    • Training laboratory personnel
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, Procurement and other departments to ensure product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Lead pest control, hygiene, sanitation and housekeeping programs to ensure compliance with quality and food/feed/pet care safety requirements where applicable.
  • Ensure effective quality data management, including accurate recording, storage, retrieval, analysis and reporting.
  • Support product development, process validation, and R&D activities as required.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements and workplace health, safety and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct training programs and quality awareness initiatives across the organization.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by Management from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering, Quality Management or a related discipline with a minimum of 10 years' relevant experience; or
  • Diploma, Certificate, or SPM qualification with a minimum of 15 years' relevant experience in a similar managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems, auditing practices, continuous improvement methodologies and laboratory operations.
  • Proven leadership, team management and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, organized and results-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
