About Our Client / About the Role

A Malaysian financing business is seeking a senior leader to direct collections and recovery performance, develop a sizeable team and strengthen compliant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead collection managers and officers across early and late arrears, field recovery and complex escalations.
• Set recovery measures and segmented strategies using portfolio trends, cure rates and payment commitments.
• Work with business, finance and legal teams and oversee external collection and legal partners.
• Build team capability through coaching and review, and report performance to senior leadership.
• Improve collection processes, customer engagement and controls in line with applicable Malaysian requirements.

Key Requirements

• Eight to ten years of relevant experience, including at least five years at managerial level.
• Degree in business, finance, economics or a related discipline.
• In-depth knowledge of the Hire Purchase Act 1967 and strong understanding of responsible collection practices.
• Experience leading a large collections team, with strong analysis, negotiation and leadership skills.

Remuneration Package

RM10,000–RM13,000
