Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Associate Accountant to support finance operations for the ANZ region within a shared services environment. This role involves a blend of accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, and reconciliation activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial processing and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Process invoices accurately and in a timely manner in line with company policies and accounting standards
- Review and verify invoice documentation, approvals, and coding
- Perform vendor statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Handle payments, including foreign currency and intercompany transactions
- Manage banking activities, including bank sweeps and transaction postings
- Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Support accounts receivable activities, including intercompany billing and allocations
- Assist with month-end closing and financial reporting requirements
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements
- Identify and contribute to process improvement initiatives
- Provide ad hoc finance support as required
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounting or shared services (SSC exposure is an advantage)
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Ability to manage deadlines and handle multiple tasks effectively
- Good communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders
- Proactive, independent, and a strong team player
- Open to fresh graduates with accounting internship experience in Shared Service, BPO, or MNC environment
Remuneration:
- Up to RM4,000
