About the job Assistant Manager, Site / Construction | Railway

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Construction/Project Manager with daily site operations, coordination, and tracking project progress.
  • Prepare and consolidate project documentation.
  • Create and maintain work schedules.
  • Monitor material usage to identify wastage and implement corrective measures when needed.
  • Liaise with Consultants, Subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve technical matters, review revised drawings, and ensure work complies with approved construction drawings and RFIs.
  • Verify site progress, conduct joint measurements, and prepare claim-related documents for submission to the Contracts Department for monthly progress claims.


Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proficient in relevant engineering or project management tools.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to delegate, supervise, guide, and motivate site teams effectively.
  • Prior experience in railway projects is an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with civil and structural works, including piles, columns, piers, and related structures.

Working Location:

Penang, Malaysia (Alternate Saturday Work)
