Role Summary
This role leads the finance function at group level, overseeing financial operations across a portfolio of entities. It is responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, maintaining strong governance, and supporting business performance through effective reporting, analysis, and control.
The position partners closely with senior management on operational, strategic, and funding-related matters, while driving consistency and discipline across a multi-entity environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
- Lead end-to-end financial reporting cycles, ensuring timely and reliable outputs
- Oversee closing activities and ensure completeness of financial data
- Review key accounting treatments and balance sheet integrity
- Deliver clear and concise financial reporting for leadership review
Group-Level Oversight
- Coordinate financial reporting across multiple entities and ensure alignment at group level
- Manage intercompany matters and ensure proper treatment in consolidated results
- Maintain consistency in financial practices across all business units
- Enhance overall governance within a centralised finance structure
Portfolio Monitoring
- Provide financial oversight across a mix of operating and investment entities
- Track performance, liquidity, and financial position across the portfolio
- Monitor capital flows and funding arrangements between entities
- Highlight key risks and areas for improvement to management
Planning & Performance Analysis
- Drive budgeting and forecasting activities across the group
- Analyse trends, margins, and cost structures to support decision-making
- Provide insights to improve operational and financial performance
- Prepare materials for senior management and board discussions
Funding & Financial Strategy
- Support financing activities including funding applications and negotiations
- Prepare financial models, projections, and supporting documentation
- Manage relationships with lenders and financial institutions
- Track obligations and ensure compliance with financing terms
Compliance & Regulatory Matters
- Ensure adherence to statutory and tax requirements
- Manage audit processes and liaise with external advisors
- Maintain proper documentation and audit readiness
- Support implementation of regulatory changes where applicable
Controls & Process Enhancement
- Strengthen internal controls, policies, and approval processes
- Standardise financial structures and reporting formats
- Improve efficiency through streamlining workflows and systems
- Establish and maintain clear authority and approval frameworks
Business Partnering & Strategic Support
- Contribute financial perspectives to business initiatives and investments
- Support evaluation of new opportunities and risk considerations
- Monitor cash flow and optimise liquidity across the group
- Provide independent financial oversight to support sound decision-making
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Professional certification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is advantageous
- Experience in a multi-entity or group finance setting
- Hands-on exposure to consolidation and financial management structures
- Prior experience leading and managing a team
- Familiarity with compliance, tax, and statutory reporting frameworks
- Exposure to financing, investments, or corporate finance activities is beneficial
- Comfortable operating in a dynamic and evolving business environment
