Collection Manager

About Our Client / About the Role

A Malaysian financing business is seeking a Collection Manager to lead a team of collections professionals, improve recovery results and maintain sound conduct across the arrears cycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee early and late collections, repossession coordination, legal escalation and bad debt activity.
• Plan collection approaches, track arrears and recovery measures, and adjust actions by delinquency stage.
• Coach and assess a team of senior executives and executives, setting clear goals and reviewing performance.
• Improve the use of collection tools and digital customer communication while maintaining fair treatment and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate branch and field activity, including weekend work when required by closing dates or performance needs.

Key Requirements

• At least five years of relevant collections or credit experience, including at least three years in a managerial role.
• Good knowledge of the Hire Purchase Act 1967 and responsible recovery practices.
• Strong leadership, analysis, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in hire purchase, vehicle finance or consumer lending is preferred.

Remuneration Package

RM6,000–RM8,000
