Role: Mechanical Principal Engineer
Location: Sedenak, Johor, Malaysia

Core Responsibilities

• Design Leadership: 
  • Review and approval of design consultants' work to ensure design documents are sufficiently developed with all necessary engineering calculations in place.
  • Establish engineering and operation procedures following company standards.
• System Coordination: Maintain internal engineering standards with a particular focus on HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Technical Quality Control: Evaluate engineering submissions, technical blueprints, material specifications, and cross-disciplinary drawings.
• Site & Commissioning Support:
  • Support project commissioning and final handover activities.
  • Establish engineering and operation procedures following company standards.
• Problem Solving: Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex engineering variations and site-specific technical bottlenecks.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary technical liaison between clients, external consultants, main contractors, and internal project teams.
• Project Delivery: Assist Project Manager or Delivery Manager in data centre design and construction phases for site management and construction quality control.
• Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and professional development support to junior engineering staff.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design and delivery in data centre projects.
• Professional Engineer status (Ir. / PE) registered with BEM is preferred.
• Hands-on experience in mechanical design & site execution.
• Good command of English.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder negotiation, and communication skills.
• Self-driven mindset with the agility to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-sequenced project environment

Remuneration: MYR 10,000 - MYR 17,000
