The Opportunity
We are seeking a Mid-Level IP Technology Transactions Associate to join one of our esteemed clients. This position offers the opportunity to work with a world-class technology transactions practice, handling complex and innovative transactions for some of the most prominent companies in technology, digital media, consumer tech, and life sciences both in the U.S. and internationally.
As part of Fenwick's team, you'll collaborate closely with other practices, including their Corporate Group, IP Group, and Litigation Group, gaining exposure to cutting-edge work in areas like M&A, IP licensing, content distribution, and the technology aspects of corporate transactions.
What You'll Do
- Lead with Purpose: Manage complex commercial, technology, IP licensing, and digital media transactions, ensuring the success of critical deals.
- Analyze and Innovate: Advise on technology-driven M&A transactions, corporate matters, and content licensing, with a focus on cutting-edge sectors.
- Collaborate for Success: Partner with the Corporate, IP, and Litigation Groups to deliver innovative solutions for clients in the technology, digital media, and life sciences sectors.
- Deliver Excellence: Use your expertise to drive success in high-profile, multi-faceted transactions, contributing to the firm's top-tier technology transactions practice.
What You Bring to the Table
- Experience: At least 3 years of direct experience in technology transactions, IP licensing, M&A, or corporate transactions. In-house candidates with prior law firm experience are welcome to apply.
- Education: J.D. from an accredited law school, with superior academic credentials.
- Skills: Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with an ability to interact effectively with clients and teams.
- Bar Admission: Must be barred in the state of the office you are applying to, or eligible to sit/waive into the next bar exam.
Your Skillset
- Technology Transactions Expertise: Deep knowledge of commercial, technology, and IP licensing transactions, as well as content distribution and media licensing.
- Corporate Transactions: Experience working on the technology aspects of M&A and corporate transactions.
- Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally with teams, including Corporate, IP, and Litigation groups.
- Client-Facing: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to advise clients on complex legal matters in a fast-paced environment.
