The Opportunity

This role offers a chance to join a dynamic Intellectual Property team with a focus on trademark prosecution and enforcement. You'll work with cutting-edge clients, helping them navigate complex trademark, copyright, and domain-related matters across diverse industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and evaluate U.S. and global trademark clearance searches.
  • Draft and manage trademark applications, including identifying goods/services and drafting substantive responses to office actions.
  • Provide counsel on Madrid Protocol filings.
  • Conduct enforcement investigations, draft cease-and-desist letters, takedown notices, and negotiate settlement and coexistence agreements.
  • Draft trademark, copyright, NIL licenses, and assignments.
  • Handle copyright counseling, filing, and domain name enforcement, including drafting UDRP complaints.
  • Provide diligence and support for corporate transactions involving trademarks, copyrights, and domain names.
  • Clear content for social media and digital marketing use.

Qualifications

  • Education: JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Licensure: Admitted or eligible for admission in New York.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in trademark law, focusing on clearance, prosecution, and enforcement.
  • Skills:
    • Strong legal research and analytical capabilities.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication.
    • Organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
    • Detail-oriented and highly collaborative.
  • Professionalism: Proven ability to engage with clients and colleagues effectively.
