The Opportunity
We're seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate to join one of our esteemed clients in their Los Angeles, CA office. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work on complex commercial litigation cases, with exposure to real estate litigation and trial experience. You'll join a team dedicated to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion while building your career in a dynamic environment.
What You'll Do
Lead with Purpose: Manage all phases of complex commercial litigation, including investigations, discovery, pleadings, depositions, and mediation.
Analyze and Innovate: Draft dispositive motions and participate in state and federal court proceedings.
Collaborate for Success: Build and maintain strong client relationships with extensive communication.
Deliver Excellence: Gain exposure to real estate litigation and trial work, contributing to significant legal outcomes.
What You Bring to the Table
Experience: 3-5 years of complex commercial litigation experience, with real estate litigation and trial experience preferred but not required.
Education: JD with excellent academic credentials.
Bar Admission: Active California bar license or willingness to obtain one promptly.
Skills: Exceptional judgment, superior interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.
Mindset: Proactive, entrepreneurial, and committed to community engagement and diversity.
Your Skillset
Litigation Expertise: Strong background in commercial litigation, including drafting dispositive motions, managing discovery, and taking depositions.
Legal Drafting: Mastery in preparing pleadings and other critical litigation documents.
Collaboration and Communication: Proven ability to foster strong client and team relationships.
Adaptability: Ability to effectively handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
