Account Specialist / Customer Service

1. About the Role

Due to new account acquisitions, we are expanding our team and seeking a dedicated Account Specialist / Customer Service Representative.

After completing training, you will be responsible for managing three accounts (primarily in Japanese). During the training period, you will gain hands-on experience in warehouse operations, including order processing, picking, packing, and shipping. This will equip you with the skills to provide effective logistics solutions to clients in the future.

2. Job Responsibilities

Administrative & Logistics Operations at a Japanese Logistics Company

  • Coordinating vendor arrangements (tracking shipments via phone)
  • Handling customer service inquiries
  • Communicating with headquarters in Japan
  • Managing shipping and receiving orders, forwarding procedures
  • Updating internal systems
  • Troubleshooting and improving system operations
  • Overseeing warehouse operations and shipping processes
  • Preparing shipping documents for different destinations
  • Generating shipping lists based on order data
  • Managing inventory movements
  • Performing picking, packing, and labeling
  • Inventory management

3. Requirements

Professional-level Japanese proficiency
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs (e.g., boxes containing iron cookware)
Basic Excel skills (formulas required; VLOOKUP preferred)
During the holiday season, expect up to 1 hour of overtime per day.

4. Work Schedule

Monday Friday, 8:30 AM 5:30 PM

5. Compensation

Annual Salary: $40,000 $45,000
