About the job AWS Cloud Engineer (AWS/Terraform/Python) – Full Remote Portugal
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Join a global organization operating at the intersection of technology and one of the world's most demanding industries. This is a senior individual contributor role embedded in a team that builds and governs cloud infrastructure at scale — where the decisions you make directly impact how dozens of systems are provisioned, secured, and operated across international environments.
The engagement is fully remote, based in Portugal, running under a consulting contract. This is a hands-on technical role for someone who is done with legacy infrastructure and wants to work with modern AWS stacks, real IaC, and engineers who care about doing it right.
PROJECT & CONTEXT
You'll be working within the cloud infrastructure team of a large-scale international organization in the automotive sector, contributing to the design, automation, and governance of AWS environments across multiple workloads.
Key areas of focus include Landing Zone architecture aligned with the AWS Well-Architected Framework, Infrastructure as Code via Terraform, and automation pipelines built on Python and Bash. You'll be part of architecture discussions, cross-team knowledge sharing sessions, and initiatives around cost optimization and operational excellence.
The project demands someone who can operate independently, communicate clearly across technical and non-technical stakeholders, and hold a high bar for security and infrastructure quality.
