Job Openings Tech Lead .NET + React - Remote PT, Spain or Poland

About the job Tech Lead .NET + React - Remote PT, Spain or Poland

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

A large-scale technology platform is looking for a Tech Lead to guide a development team building and evolving a complex, distributed system. This is a hands-on leadership role — you'll be writing and reviewing code, making technical decisions, and representing your team in cross-functional architecture discussions across the platform.

Full remote, consulting engagement. Open to candidates based in Portugal, Spain, or Poland.

PROJECT & CONTEXT

You'll be working on a multi-team platform with distributed architecture, where alignment across engineering groups matters as much as execution within your own team. The stack is .NET Core on the backend, React on the frontend, running on containerized infrastructure across Azure and/or GCP.

Day-to-day you'll be balancing hands-on development with technical guidance — unblocking engineers, driving quality standards, participating in architecture discussions, and ensuring the team understands the why behind what they're building. This is not a pure management role; deep technical involvement is expected.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in C# and .NET Core, with deep experience designing and building RESTful APIs
  • Solid hands-on experience with React on the frontend
  • Strong grasp of Object-Oriented Programming, data structures, and algorithms
  • Experience with containerization and Docker
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud platforms (Azure and/or GCP)
  • Solid understanding of Microservices and Event-Driven Architecture, including Pub/Sub patterns
  • Strong CI/CD practices and DevOps culture — pipelines, automation, deployment hygiene
  • Experience with code quality standards and unit testing
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL

Leadership & Background

  • Proven experience as a Tech Lead or Senior+ engineer in a lead capacity — comfortable making technical decisions and owning them
  • Able to guide and support a team of engineers without becoming a bottleneck
  • Experience participating in cross-team architecture discussions and alignment sessions
  • Track record in consulting or outsourcing environments is a plus

Languages

  • English: C1 (Advanced) — mandatory. Cross-team communication and architecture discussions are conducted in English.

Location

  • Must be based in Portugal, Spain, or Poland — mandatory for this engagement.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with event streaming platforms (Kafka, Azure Service Bus, or equivalent)
  • Exposure to platform engineering or internal developer tooling
  • Background in large-scale, multi-team product organizations
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform or similar)
  • Experience working across geographically distributed engineering teams

Compensation: €2,300 – €3,050/month net, depending on experience and seniority level.
