ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Join a well-established Trading Systems team within a highly selective financial markets organization based in Porto. This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of business and technology, testing mission-critical trading platforms where precision, reliability, and deep functional understanding are essential to every release.

PROJECT & CONTEXT

You will work across functional testing, backend and API validation, defect management, test automation, regression testing, and release validation for a Trading Systems environment. The role suits someone who understands business requirements and workflows, but who can also dig into technical tools and test data to investigate issues. You'll work closely with developers, business analysts, project managers, and fellow QA professionals to support reliable, high-quality software delivery.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (Required)

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or a related technical role
  • Experience with functional testing, defect management, test reporting, and traceability
  • Experience in banking, brokerage, financial markets, or another relevant financial systems environment
  • Knowledge of BDD principles and test automation frameworks
  • Practical, hands-on experience with Linux commands, Jenkins, and Git
  • Experience with Python and Shell scripting
  • Experience with database management in a testing or technical environment
  • Fluent English and Portuguese, both written and spoken

NICE TO HAVE (Preferred)

  • Hands-on experience contributing to test automation framework design and CI/CD pipeline improvements
  • Familiarity with using AI-assisted tools for test design, test case creation, defect analysis, documentation, and reporting
  • Previous exposure to trading platforms or capital markets systems specifically
